Shaw Lens

One of the most important things our doctors and opticians keep in mind is that visual clarity is not always visual comfort. This is most obviously the case in which the prescription in each eye may be so different from each other that it causes distortion in the image sizes each eye sees, making it difficult for the brain to produce a single comfortable image. This is called Aniseikonia, and for years the only way to reduce aniseikonia was the use of contact lenses. Now, the solution for patients too young or too uncomfortable for contacts is the Shaw lens.

  • The Shaw design is specifically engineered to balance the image sizes coming from each lens so the wearer has comfortable vision as well as clear vision. This design can be utilized for any patient who has 20/20 vision but suffers from double vision, eye strain, headaches, dizziness, impaired depth perception, and more. Precise Measurements

Our opticians perform precise measurements of your eyes and facial features that are used to place your eyeglass order. A pupillary distance measurement alone is not enough to make a good pair of glasses. We do not provide our proprietary measurements to other sellers.
